Dina Gaballa

Ms. Gaballa was born in Egypt and moved to Kingston in 2010. She completed a Bachelor of Education at Queen’s University with qualifications to teach French and Biology/ General Sciences. Before that, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in 2019 with a medial in French studies and Psychology. This is her first year teaching at Leahurst College and she couldn’t be more excited!

Attending a French first-language high school instilled a life-long love of French language and culture that she can’t wait to share with her French Immersion students. Her teaching efforts include playing French music and films, creating fun games to practice verbs and vocabulary words, and fostering a safe and positive space for students to practice their oral communication skills in a meaningful and authentic way. She believes that building trusting relationships with her students is the essence of a quality education. Her students will always feel safe, respected and valued in her classroom.

She looks forward to what the future will bring for her at Leahurst College and making meaningful memories with her students! When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, and testing out new baking recipes.
