Sean Kelly

Mr. Kelly teaches Physical Education and Communications, while coordinating Athletics and Social Media. After earning his Bachelor of Physical and Health Education at Queen’s University, Mr. Kelly taught at schools in Taiwan, Colombia, and England, and, most recently, Upper Canada College, Toronto. Mr. Kelly has coached football, rugby, and basketball across different levels. He also taught outdoor education for two years outside of Toronto to students ranging from kindergarten to Grade 12.

Mr. Kelly is always eager to share his knowledge and life experiences with his students. With a passion for physical activity and the outdoors, Mr. Kelly believes in the importance of each in creating a well-balanced life. It is his goal to build this same passion in his students here at Leahurst.

Mr. Kelly loves the challenge of self-propelled travel, including cycle touring, hiking, canoeing, and backcountry skiing. He has completed cycle tours across Canada, from Delhi to the Himalayan Mountains, from Spain to Greece, and across the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Mr. Kelly is always looking for a new challenge and is currently trying his hand at rock climbing and yoga.
