Yolande Belanger

Yolande Belanger is pure Quebecoise, born in the village of Lyster south of Quebec City. She earned her BaH in Concurrent Education from Queen’s University (ArtSci ’89) and then has completed her specialist training in French as a Second Language and Visual Arts from the University of Western Ontario. Mme Belanger has been teaching in the public system for 25 years at several local Kingston schools including Vanier and Acadie. She also spent two years abroad teaching in Europe at AFNORTH International School in Brunssum, Netherlands. She has been the organizer of many educational events such as Arts Week while at Vanier and Communius exchange with Turkey while in Europe.

Mme Belanger is an avid sailor and cyclist. When she isn’t teaching she can be found out on the lake, in the garden or on a tennis court.

Mme Belanger is a vibrant addition to the Leahurst team where she teaches French and Visual Arts. She brings a wealth of experience and creativity providing an environment that is inspiring and fun!
