Welcome. We are here to guide you through the application process. it is anticipated that some of our classes will reach full enrolment for the 2019-20 school year. Please apply early and note all deadlines. 

Part 1: The Application Process

How to apply in 6 easy steps:

1. Complete the On-line Application Form.

2. Give the Character Reference Forms [PDF] to two referees. Inform the referees that they must mail or e-mail (admissions@leahurstcollege.ca) these directly to Leahurst College.

3. Mail (or scan and email to admissions@leahurstcollege.ca) the completed Application Package to Leahurst College, 4 Cataraqui St, Suite 109, Kingston, ON, K7K 1Z7. 

Application Package includes:

  • two passport-style photos of the student
  • one copy of the student’s birth certificate
  • one copy of the student's immunization record 
  • one copy of each of the two most recent report cards

4. Email admissions@leahurstcollege.ca to book your "Student Visit Day(s)".

5. Write the Diagnostic Assessment. It will include questions taken from the Ontario Curriculum with a focus on mathematics and language, as well as social skills and a group problem-solving activity. 

6. Mail in your deposit cheque. (Fees & Financial Assistance)

Part 2: The Admission Process

Our admissions team will process all applications as quickly as possible. Acceptance letters will be mailed out as described on the page of Important Dates.

Upon receiving an Offer of Admission, parents or guardians must confirm acceptance of the Offer of Admission via email to admissions@leahurstcollege.ca.

In the event that a student does not meet the criteria required for entrance to Leahurst College, or that a spot is not available, the deposit will be refunded. In all other cases, the deposit is non-refundable.

In the event that a student cannot visit on a regular school day, or cannot complete the diagnostic assessment, including the group activity, a conditional acceptance offer may be available. 

Part 3: The Registration Process

The Registration process will take place over the summer. At that time, Online Registration will be available, permission forms are to be completed and delivered to the school along with post-dated cheques.

Your registration is considered complete once you have accepted your Offer of Admission, the deposit has been paid, the on-line Registration Package has been completed, and the parents have completed and signed the Registration Agreement.

Regarding Early Applications

** A 15% discount will be applied to Grades 5, 6 & 7 tuition fees for all successful applicants when the application and non-refundable deposit are received on or prior to December 1st. This reduces the tuition from $12,800 to $10,900.

** A 15% discount will be applied to Grade 8 tuition fees for all successful applicants when the application and non-refundable deposit are received on or prior to December 1st.    This reduces the tuition from $13,800 to $11,700.

**A 15% discount will be applied to Grades 9 & 10 tuition fees for all successful applicants when the application and non-refundable deposit are received on or prior to December 1st.                This reduces the tuition from $17,200 to $14,600.

** A 15% discount will be applied to the Grades 11 & 12 tuition fees for all successful applicants when the application and non-refundable deposit are received on or prior to December 1st. This reduces the tuition from $18,800 to $16,000.

All applications received on or before the Early Application deadline must include a deposit of $3,000.  Cheques should be made payable to "Leahurst College High School Inc.".
